About the Event

A unique event that combines technical knowledge and persuasion skills. This event incorporates Critical thinking and reasoning. The participants can either support or oppose the topic and debate on it. The adjudicator decides the winner based on the points presented. Each team consists of 2 speakers. One team supports the motion, and the other opposes the motion. The speeches and speaking time are divided equally between the two teams. Each team may then speak in ‘rebuttal’, after a short period has been allowed for the teams to consult.

Registration Fee :
₹130/- for a team of 2 participants

Rules and Regulations :

• A team must consist of 2 participants.
• There will be two rounds.
• Each participant has 3 minutes for their opening statement, 2 minutes for rebuttals.
• Judges will assess the participants' arguments and communication skills.
• All decisions regarding eligibility and final judgment shall rest with the Judging panel.
• Facts presented in a debate must be accurate.
• Speakers may not bring up new points in a rebuttal speech.
• The winning team is decided on the basis of the quality of the debating, by a judge, or a panel of judges.
• Any decisions made are final and binding.
